In the mattress market, Casper and Tempur-Pedic are two of the most well-known and respected brands. Online mattress shopping has risen in popularity thanks to Casper, a small startup. A well-known brand like Tempur-Pedic, on the other hand, has been around for many years and relies on the quality of their TEMPUR memory foam for decades.

It’s no surprise that consumers often find themselves having to choose between these two companies. Customers can choose from a wide variety of mattress types and firmness levels. Choice is wonderful, but it may also be difficult to decide between Casper and Tempur-Pedic.

You can compare these two brands side-by-side to see how they match up in terms of sizing, construction, cost, and performance in our comprehensive comparison. Check out some of these key points, and we’ll explain everything you need to know about shipping, returns and warranties.

Casper vs. Tempur-Cloud Mattress Overview

As expected, these mattresses live up to the reputations of their namesake firms. Different types of sleepers are best served by each one.

Who Should Get the Casper?

  • More lumbar support is required by those who sleep on their backs.
  • Those in want of a more bouncy, responsive mattress.
  • Those wishing to cut costs on a new mattress

Who Should Get the Tempur-Cloud?

  • Memory foam devotees who prefer a sluggish, body-contouring feel
  • Those who sleep on their side require the greatest mattress available.
  • Those who are looking for a high-quality, long-lasting mattress

Sizing Options

If you want to be happy with your purchase, you need to be sure you obtain the proper size, no matter what you’re purchasing. It is important to note that mattress size impacts how much space you have on your bed. For couples, taller folks, and anyone else who enjoys stretching out, greater space is a natural desire. However, a larger mattress isn’t necessarily preferable because it has to fit in your bedroom comfortably.

Consider the mattress’s height and weight in addition to its size. When it comes to getting in and out of bed, the height of your bed frame can make a big difference. People with hip, knee, or back problems frequently prefer a higher mattress since it makes it easier to get out of bed in the morning for them. Extra-long mattresses may necessitate extra-deep fitted sheets.

For the majority of individuals, the weight of their mattress isn’t a huge worry when they go to sleep at night, but when they have to move or wish to reposition their mattress, it can be an issue.

All of Casper’s mattresses come in the six conventional sizes: twin, full, queen, king, and California king, unlike Tempur-Pedic, which only offers mattresses in two sizes: twin and twin XL. The Luxe and ProBreeze beds from Tempur-Pedic don’t come in a twin size, for example. There are split king and split California king models supplied by Tempur-Pedic, however they are not available from Casper.

Neither Casper nor Tempur-Pedic mattresses are particularly tall or short. Both firms offer models with heights ranging from 10 to 13 inches, with selections ranging from 10 to 11 to 12 to 13 inches.

Both Casper and Tempur-Pedic offer all-foam and hybrid mattresses, which explains their vast weight ranges. Hybrid mattresses tend to be heavier than all-foam mattresses due to the steel coil layers they contain. Taken together, the weight of a Casper and a Tempur-Pedic mattress is about the same when you account for differences in mattress type and height.

If you’re looking for a specific size (like a twin or split Cal king) that may not be available for certain models, Size is unlikely to be a deal breaker or decision factor for individuals selecting Casper versus Tempur-Pedic.

Construction and Materials Comparison

The first place to search for clues about a mattress’s efficacy is in its construction. Some of the most essential information about whether a mattress is going to work for you may be found in both the individual components and the way those components operate together.

There are a few terms that need to be clarified before we go into the mechanics of Casper and Tempur-Pedic beds construction. One or more layers of comfort system are found at the top of any mattress and have a significant impact on how the bed feels. There is a thicker base layer (or mix of layers) beneath the comfort system to support the remainder of the mattress.

This type of mattress has a polyfoam support core and a polyfoam comfort system, which may or may not comprise textiles like cotton or wool. Innerspring coils form the foundation of a hybrid mattress, while other materials such as foam, latex, micro-coils and/or textiles are used to provide comfort.

Casper

Two of the mattresses in the Casper collection are made entirely of foam, while the other three are hybrids. Even though each of the five alternatives is built differently on the inside, they all have a similar appearance on the outside.

Polyurethane, recyclable plastic, upcycled cotton, rayon, and spandex are all used in the Casper mattress cover. Using this blend, you can achieve a cover that is both soft and elastic, while also allowing for adequate airflow to keep you cool. Additionally, its unique polyester helps to remove dozens of plastic bottles from the oceans and garbage dumps. More than 100 bottles are recycled in the Casper Original, Nova, and Wave Hybrid mattresses.

Airscape polyfoam is another popular ingredient in Casper mattresses. Breathable: This foam has been designed to allow for more ventilation than many other foams. In order to accommodate the body comfortably while simultaneously reducing motion transfer, this mattress includes a moderate amount of contouring and bounce.

Casper Original & Casper Hybrid

The Casper Original mattress is still referred to as “the Casper” by some. The three layers of this all-foam mattress are as follows:

  • 1.5 inches of polyfoam Airscape
  • Memory foam with three zones is 2 inches thick.
  • Base polyfoam is 7 inches thick.

The Casper Hybrid was developed as a result of the original Casper’s popularity, and the firm saw an opportunity to broaden its product line. It has the same two layers, but the polyfoam support core is replaced with coils, which gives it the following layers:.

  • Airscape polyfoam, 1.5 inches thick
  • Memory foam with three zones is 2 inches thick.
  • A 7-inch foam perimeter surrounds a 6-inch pocketed coils encasement.

When it comes to comfort, the Casper mattresses use Airscape polyfoam and memory foam with additional conforming characteristics to help alleviate pressure points. In order to protect the midsection from drooping, the memory foam layer has been localized to provide greater cushioning to the shoulders. In terms of firmness, both the Casper Original and Casper Hybrid mattresses are medium-firm.

The Casper Hybrid mattress is more responsive than the Casper Original because of the difference in the support core. The substantial foam that surrounds the coils in the Casper Hybrid mattress provides additional edge support. In order to reduce motion transfer, the coils themselves are designed with a pocketed design.

casper-vs-tempurpedic-2.jpg

Casper Nova Hybrid

In order for Casper to launch newer goods like the Casper Nova Hybrid, which has four layers, the company’s product development staff is always working.

  • Polyfoam with a thickness of one inch from Airscape
  • A 1.5-inch layer of Airscape polyfoam in three zones.
  • Memory foam with seven zones is 2 inches thick.
  • A 7-inch foam perimeter surrounds a 6-inch pocketed coils encasement.

The Nova Hybrid mattress from Casper is the most supple, with a firmness rating of five out of ten. The Airscape foam and the thick layer of zoned memory foam contribute to its velvety feel and above-average contouring. Airscape foam and innerspring coils provide bounce even at a gentler firmness setting, which is why this mattress is so popular. The foam encasement around the coils reinforces the perimeter of the mattress, just like with the Casper Hybrid.

Casper Wave Hybrid

Casper’s Wave Hybrid mattress is the company’s most expensive, high-end option. There are five internal components that make up its medium (5) feel:

  • Polyfoam with a thickness of one inch from Airscape
  • Latex that is 1.5 inches thick.
  • a 1.5-inch layer of Airscape memory foam in three zones
  • 1.5 inches of polyfoam zoned with gel pods focused on specific areas
  • A 7-inch foam perimeter surrounds a 6-inch pocketed coils encasement.

The Casper Wave Hybrid mattress features a layer of zoned polyfoam and gel pods. When compared to other types of zoned foams, pods offer better precision in adapting to each individual sleeper’s unique weight distribution. Polyfoam-encased pocketed coils give stability and edge support, while the three layers of Airscape polyfoam provide a well-rounded level of both pressure relief and bounce. The comfort system’s middle layer of latex improves responsiveness and temperature regulation.

Casper Element

Casper created the Casper Element, an all-foam mattress with two layers: a top layer and a bottom layer.

  • Airscape polyfoam is 3 inches thick.
  • 6.5 inches of polyfoam at the bottom.

The Airscape polyfoam layer in the Casper Element is thick enough to give it a medium-firm (6) feel. If you’re looking for something that can alleviate pressure points and keep your spine aligned at a low price, this is the best option for you.

Tempur-Pedic

All-foam and hybrid mattresses are available from Tempur-vast Pedic’s product line. TEMPUR foam is the company’s signature substance, and it’s crucial to know what it is before looking at individual models.

Memory foam made by TEMPUR is called this. To support astronauts during space shuttle launches, NASA developed memory foam, which is also known as viscoelastic foam. When Tempur-Pedic came along, it helped pave the path for the widespread usage of the material in mattresses.

TEMPUR memory foam is distinguished by a number of unique characteristics. When pressure is applied to it, it compresses in reaction to that pressure and just in those locations. There are no ripple effects in a mattress’s surface because of this, which means the foam cradles and isolates the body.

Tempur-Pedic has attempted to produce new formulas with small tweaks to its original TEMPUR foam, which is still a popular mattress material. If you’re looking for something extra soft, choose TEMPUR-ES (Extra Soft), which is intended to allow more air to circulate through the cloth.

Tempur-Pedic Adapt Mattresses

Due to the TEMPUR foam used and the low costs of the company’s product line, the Adapt and Adapt Hybrid mattresses are some of Tempur-most Pedic’s popular mattress models.

There are three layers to the TEMPUR-Adapt mattress.

Polyfoam base TEMPUR-ES memory foam, which is the original TEMPUR-ES memory foam.

In addition to three layers, the TEMPUR-Adapt Hybrid incorporates a coil-based support core.

Pocketed innerspring coils in the original TEMPUR-ES memory foam

Both the Adapt and Adapt Hybrid mattresses have TEMPUR foam layers that adjust to the body. The Adapt Hybrid is the more responsive of the two options because of its coil support core. The firmness rating for both mattresses is a medium-firm (5.0).

The TEMPUR-LuxeAdapt is another Adapt variant. Soft (3) and hard (4) options are available (7). The Adapt mattress has the same three layers as other Adapt mattresses:

  • Soft variant of TEMPUR-ES memory foam (TEMPUR-ES) (Firm model)
  • Memory foam TEMPUR-APR
  • Polyethylene terephthalate (PET)

The foam arrangement in the TEMPUR-ProAdapt mattress changes depending on the firmness setting selected. A soft, medium, or firm option is offered, and it has three layers:

  • Soft model: TEMPUR-ES memory foam; Medium model: Original TEMPUR memory foam;
  • TEMPUR-APR memory foam; (Firm model)
  • APR TEMPUR-APR memory foam / Original TEMPUR memory foam (Soft and Medium versions) (Firm model)
  • Polyethylene terephthalate (PET)

The ProAdapt Hybrid is the final product in the Adapt range, with a medium (5) firmness level. Three layers are used to construct it:

  • Memory foam TEMPUR-ES
  • Memory foam TEMPUR-APR
  • innerspring coils that are tucked away

Customers can expect excellent motion isolation and cushioning for pressure spots from the deep conforming of the foam in all LuxeAdapt and ProAdapt variants. The ProAdapt Hybrid’s usage of a coil-based support core gives it a little extra bounce and edge support.

Tempur-Pedic Breeze Mattresses

Breeze mattresses are designed to keep you cool while you sleep. Because classic memory foam mattresses are notorious for retaining a lot of heat, this can be an important feature.

Phase Change Material (PCM) is used in the Breeze models to reduce heat accumulation (PCM). In order to maintain a constant temperature, a PCM is designed to pull in or dissipate heat as your body and bedroom temperature fluctuates. A breathable layer on the Breeze mattresses helps the body naturally cool off by drawing moisture away from the skin.

Three layers of foam comprise the PRObreeze mattress, a medium-firm mattress with an all-foam construction, which has a medium (5) firmness rating.

This is TEMPUR-CM+ Memory Foam, which is an upgraded version of the original TEMPUR-CM polyfoam base foam.

Probreeze Hybrid features the same concept but uses springs instead of polyfoam. There are three layers to the texture, which is medium (5).

Mattresses made with TEMPUR-CM+ memory foam and innerspring coils.

To avoid heat from building up overnight, both PRObreeze versions use the more porous TEMPUR-CM+ foam that provides increased ventilation to function in conjunction with the cover and PCM. Despite this, the foam is still able to contour to the body and provide support for the spine. Even improved ventilation is provided by the PRObreeze Hybrid’s ability to allow air to flow freely between the coils. As a result, the hybrid model has a springier feel and better edge support.

The LUXEbreeze is Tempur-priciest Pedic’s luxury bed. A soft (3) and hard (7) variant is available, as well as an inside design that includes the following elements:

  • Plush memory foam from the TEMPUR-CM+ line
  • Polyfoam base with TEMPUR-APR memory foam

Even greater cooling is achieved by employing two layers of more breathable memory foam, as well as the cover and PCM, to preserve the characteristic feel of viscoelastic foam.

TEMPUR-Cloud Mattress

For the first time, Tempur-Pedic has entered the market for mattresses delivered in a box, with the TEMPUR-Cloud mattress. Customers receive this all-foam alternative in a canvas bag after it has been compressed and shipped.

There are three levels in the TEMPUR-Cloud, which have a medium (5) feel.

  • Mattresses made of TEMPUR-PUR memory foam
  • Memory foam made by TEMPUR.
  • Polyethylene terephthalate (PET)

Tempur-Pedic uses an improved formulation of their Original TEMPUR foam in this mattress to make the mattress-in-a-box delivery method possible. In combination with the second layer of memory foam, the top layer of this mattress provides significant pressure alleviation.

Tempur-Pedic Mattress Specifications

Tempur-Pedic provides a description of the construction of their mattresses, but no specifics on the materials used. As an example, they don’t specify the thickness of each mattress layer or the materials used to produce their coverings.

Some buyers may be concerned about the lack of published specifications because it makes it more difficult to evaluate the mattress’ quality. Given the company’s long history, there is strong evidence that their products are long-lasting and effective.

In-Depth Ratings

Anyone seeking for a mattress may have very different needs than another person. So, no one can say that the best mattress is the same for everyone.

When it comes to finding the appropriate mattress, it’s all about being knowledgeable. Specifically, it entails identifying the qualities that are most important to you and pursuing partners that share these values. The following characteristics of mattress performance can assist you in your search for the brand and model that most closely matches your requirements.

  • In order to achieve the quality sleep you want, your mattress must maintain its original shape over the course of many nights of use. A mattress that has sagged will not provide adequate spinal support, and you’ll have to pick between a bad night’s sleep and the expense of a new one. For a mattress to last a long time, it must be built with high-quality components and materials.
  • Motion isolation can keep one person’s movement from disrupting the other person’s sleep. If someone is tossing and turning on the other side of the bed, there is almost no visible vibration. People who sleep with a partner and are prone to being startled during the night may appreciate the great motion isolation provided by memory foam.
  • If you intend to utilize your mattress for sex, you should realize that some beds are more favorable to intimacy. This usually means that the mattress has a lot of bounce, which makes it easier to engage in sexual activities on it than on a more firm mattress. Movement can be hindered by materials that are less sensitive, such as memory foam.
  • An uncomfortable night’s sleep might be ruined by nighttime overheating. Hot sleepers are more likely to suffer from this issue. Sleeping on a mattress that doesn’t allow air to move freely can cause you to overheat while you are asleep. Because of the way memory foam molds and retains heat, many customers complain about sleeping overheated.
  • Proper support in a mattress can mean the difference between a good night’s sleep and a bad night’s sleep. Comfortable impact on the body’s most sensitive areas is eliminated by a mattress that can cradle these areas and keep the spine in optimal alignment. Although some people may find that memory foam has too much sink to keep their body in a proper posture, it can give outstanding pressure relief.
  • Off-gassing: During the manufacturing process, volatile organic compounds (VOCs) might emit a scent from a new mattress. Customers should be aware that VOCs can be smelly, but they’re typically regarded safe. Most mattress off-gassing smells disappear within a few hours to a few days, even for mattresses with greater amounts of off-gassing
  • Others enjoy the ease with which they can get out of bed in the morning. For other people, this may be because they like to change their sleeping position or because they prefer to sleep on top of their mattress rather than on it. Low-bounce materials like memory foam, on the other hand, can cause a quicksand-like sensation on beds with a springier feel.
  • No one has to worry about rolling off their bed if they have adequate support for their edge because most individuals are already aware that it is most likely to be the bed’s weakest point. Mattresses with improved edge support alleviate that shaky feeling and allow users to sit or sleep securely towards the bed’s border. In terms of edge support, hybrids and firmer mattresses are the best bets; slower-rebounding soft foams often have less effective edge support.

Even though Tempur-Pedic is a well-known name in the mattress industry, Casper has a clear advantage when it comes to price. Only the Wave Hybrid mattress from Casper is less than the lowest-price Tempur-Pedic mattresses, and even the Wave Hybrid costs less than many Tempur-Pedic models.

They are priced more competitively and in line with similar-designed mattresses from other firms on the market. For starters, the Casper Element mattress comes at a reasonable price, especially in larger sizes.

Casper mattresses are a popular choice for people on a tight budget because of their affordability. The Casper Nova Hybrid, Wave Hybrid, and Tempur-Pedic mattresses are better suited for those seeking a high-end, luxury mattress.

Trial, Warranty, and Delivery

If you’re buying a mattress for the first time online, it’s a good idea to familiarize yourself with the ins and outs of shipping, returns, and warranties. A look at the following themes and how they apply to Casper and Tempur-Pedic is provided in the following sections.

Shipping

Mattresses purchased online can be shipped in one of two ways: either by UPS or FedEx.

  • Mattress-in-a-box shipment is the most frequent method, in which the bed is compressed in plastic and delivered to your door in a box. Take the mattress out of its package and let it decompress until it reaches its full size before putting it in your bed. Two or three individuals may be needed to raise and position the mattress safely during this installation process. In the contiguous United States, mattress-in-a-box delivery or normal shipping is nearly usually free.
  • White Glove delivery implies that a team of professionals will bring the mattress to your home. They take care of everything, from transporting the mattress into your home to placing it in your room. The removal of an old mattress is usually included in the White Glove service. Depending on the location, this service may be complimentary or chargeable.

Casper Shipping Policies

To the 48 contiguous states and Canada, Casper offers free shipping on all of its mattresses. Some places may be eligible for expedited delivery for an additional fee, but most orders arrive within five business days. For an extra fee, orders can be shipped to Alaska, Hawaii, and a few other overseas destinations.

Casper offers a delivery and setup service that is available for an additional fee. Installation of a Casper mattress and the removal of an old mattress are included in this service, which costs $149.

Tempur-Pedic Shipping Policies

Mattresses purchased from Casper are eligible for free shipping to any of the 48 contiguous states and Canada. While expedited delivery is available in some areas for an extra price, most items are delivered within five business days on average. Several other international locations, such as Alaska and Hawaii, can be transported to for an additional cost when placing an order.

For an extra cost, Casper provides a delivery and setup service. This service, which costs $149, includes both the delivery of a new Casper mattress and the removal of an old one.

Sleep Trial and Returns

The generous sleep trial offered by online mattress retailers is designed to reassure buyers who haven’t had a chance to test out the bed in person.

When you’re on a sleep trial, you can return it and get a refund. In some cases, clients are required to wait a predetermined amount of time before requesting a refund, typically a few weeks.

You can either have the mattress picked up by the company, or they can work with you to give it to a local charity. There may be a charge for return shipping in some situations, but in most cases, a full refund is granted.

Casper Sleep Trial and Return Policy

With all of Casper’s mattresses, you get a 100-night sleep trial and no break-in time, so you can initiate a return at any point. Returns are handled by Casper and a full refund is issued.

Extra fees for expedited or in-home delivery and setup are the only non-refundable costs.

Tempur-Pedic Sleep Trial and Return Policy

Mattresses purchased from Tempur-Pedic come with a 90-night sleep trial, but the company asks that buyers use the bed for at least 30 nights before requesting for a return.

Tempur-Pedic will assist consumers who wish to return their mattress, but will deduct the cost of return shipping from your refund.

Warranty

A mattress warranty provides some kind of security for the buyer. Inadvertent damage and progressive wear and tear are not covered by these warranties, which only cover flaws in materials and manufacturing. Some warranties require the consumer to cover some of the costs associated with a warranty claim if a mattress is defective while under warranty.

Casper Mattress Warranty

All of Casper’s mattresses are covered by the same lifetime warranty. Casper is obligated to repair or replace a faulty mattress for free under its 10-year warranty.

Tempur-Pedic Mattress Warranty

The Tempur-Pedic mattress warranty covers the repair or replacement of a damaged mattress for a period of ten years, as well. Warranty claim shipping expenses are all that clients are charged.

How Firm Are the Casper and Tempur-Cloud Mattresses?

On the firmness scale, we gave the Casper a 7/10 and the Tempur-Cloud a 6/10. There is an industry benchmark of 6.5/10 for medium firmness, which indicates that the Casper mattress is firmer and the Tempur-Cloud mattress is softer.

That being said, it’s worth noting how subjective the term “firmness” is when it comes to measuring a product. The hardness of a bed can be affected by a person’s weight. For example, bigger people may find a bed firmer than lighter-weight sleepers.

Sleeping on the Casper and Tempur-Cloud

Now, let’s see how these mattresses compare to one another in terms of comfort:

Casper

We had a great night’s sleep on the Casper’s back. The lumbar support was exceptional, and the spine was well-aligned throughout the night thanks to the mattress. At the same time, our hips felt a little less tense. It’s a great choice for people who want to sleep on their backs.

While lying on our sides on the Casper, we felt alright but not great. This posture didn’t provide a lot of pressure relief for us, but it might be better for lighter sleepers.

While lying on our stomachs on the Casper, we were well-supported. However, people who sleep on their stomachs for the majority of the night may benefit from a firmer mattress. Their hips and spine will be supported throughout the night by this.

Tempur-Cloud

We awoke refreshed after a restful night’s sleep on the Tempur-Cloud. The memory foam comfort layer molds to our bodies and relieves pressure points as we sink in. It’s even great that this comfort didn’t compromise spinal alignment.

We found the Tempur-Cloud to be really comfortable for side sleeping. We didn’t feel any pressure on our shoulders or hips, two of the most typical areas of discomfort for those who sleep on their sides.

The Tempur-Cloud, in our opinion, is too supple to give proper support while sleeping on one’s stomach. For stomach sleepers, a firmer mattress is necessary.

What Do the Casper and Tempur-Cloud Mattresses Feel Like?

There is a bouncing, responsive foam feel about the Casper mattress. It’s easy to get around on this mattress because of its responsiveness. A Zoned Support system provides stiffer support in the centre of the mattress, and gentler support at the head and foot of the bed.

In the same way that traditional memory foam mattresses allow you to sink into the foam and relieve pressure points, Tempur-Cloud mattresses do the same. A delayed response to pressure might make it difficult to move around and change postures using this material. Average Weight Sleepers – 130 lbs – 230 lbs

The Casper mattress is a good option for back sleepers of average weight, since it provides a good amount of spinal and lumbar support. Average-weight side sleepers may be able to get by with the Casper, but it doesn’t provide much in the way of pressure relief and may be too stiff for some people. There is enough support for stomach sleepers who weigh less than 230 pounds, but heavier people might want something a little firmer.

Additionally, the Tempur-Cloud is suitable for back sleepers of ordinary weight due to its body contouring and pressure reduction. It should be able to alleviate pressure on the shoulders and hips of average-weight side sleepers. For stomach sleepers, the Tempur-Cloud may not provide enough support.

Heavyweight Sleepers – Over 230 lbs

As a heavier back sleeper, you’ll like the Casper’s combination of spinal support and some pressure relief. However, if you weigh more than 300 pounds, you may need a mattress with coils. Pressure across the shoulders and hips could be felt by heavier side sleepers on the Casper mattress. Heavy stomach sleepers may benefit from the Casper’s firmer feel (although much heavier folks will probably want a more supportive mattress).

The Tempur-Cloud mattress provides a good combination of support and pressure reduction for heavier back sleepers. Anyone who is over 300 pounds should look for a mattress with spring coils.) Heavyweight side sleepers should find the Tempur-Cloud to be a good choice for pressure alleviation. Heavy stomach sleepers will have trouble with this mattress’ lack of support.

More supportive options can be found in our list of the best mattresses for persons who weigh a lot.

Lightweight Sleepers – Under 130 lbs

For back sleepers, the Casper mattress provides a good mix of comfort and support, with a special focus on lumbar support. Pressure alleviation for light side sleepers who want a firmer feel may be enough for those who enjoy the Tempur-body-contouring Cloud’s properties. Lightweight stomach sleepers, who need a mattress that is supportive enough to maintain the hips lifted and aligned with the spine, are better served by the Casper’s firmer nature.

The Tempur-Cloud is ideal for back sleepers who are light in weight. This memory foam mattress should be able to alleviate the pressure on the shoulders and hips of side sleepers. In comparison to the Casper, Tempur-Cloud mattresses are not ideal for stomach sleepers.

Casper vs. Tempur-Cloud Performance Differences

We can begin to tease out the differences in performance between the Casper and Tempur-Cloud beds now that we have a firm grasp on their architectures. Mattresses are tested for edge support, motion transfer, temperature regulation and more before they are put for sale. What do they have to say about each other?

Sleeping Hot or Cold

Here, the Casper comes out on top. When compared to traditional foam, Airscape foam allows for more air to pass through the upper layers of the mattress. However, the unperforated memory foam in the Tempur-Cloud mattress could hold on to heat.

Motion Transfer

The Tempur-Cloud is the clear victor in this competition. As a result, it effectively reduces the transfer of motion across the bed by using slow-moving memory foam that absorbs and responds slowly to pressure. This could be a fantastic mattress for couples because of its firmness. There’s less absorption of motion in the Casper due to its more bouncy nature.

Edge Support

On the Tempur-Cloud, we found that sitting and sleeping along the edges made us feel more secure.

Durability

Another triumph for the Tempur-Cloud. Because it’s comprised of a high-density foam, it shouldn’t deflate.

Off-Gassing

There was some off-gassing from the two mattresses, but it should go away in 48 hours or so.

Noise

This was a dead heat for us. Both mattresses did not make any noticeable noise.

Sex

When looking for a mattress for sex, most people want one that’s easy to get in and out of. The Casper comes out on top in this comparison based on that criterion. In comparison to the Tempur-Cloud, this mattress is more responsive and bouncier, making it easier to shift positions on top of the bed.
